My mother used to make rice pudding in the pressure cooker when I was little and it was so rich and creamy – to this day, one of my favourite desserts. 🙂

Milk is my favorite drink too, cold. Vidur (son) loves it too. We get it in tetrapack sachets here – so easy to pack and drink on the go. Arroz con leche is quite a popular dish here, especially for little ones. What’s your recipe? We also make a fantastic sweet dish (several in fact, but there’s one that’s a favorite) where we reduce the milk by boiling and add sugar and cardamom. Totally blissful. Ok I’ll go before I drool all over this place.

In reply to Justice Jonesie. No, it wasn't hard to make at all. Now that I know how, I'll be making it regularly. I made mine with a mixture of brown and white rice so it took longer to cook.

In reply to Anonymous. The recipe is pretty simple, but I used hapa rice (half brown, half white) in honor of my husband who grew up in Hawaii.

Our family loves milk! My suegro was a lechero for almost 50 years. I like mine straight up. Unless it’s winter, then I prefer a steaming cup of cafe con leche. 🙂 The kiddies all love their milk with cookies. And Hubby likes his with a pan dulce chaser. 🙂

Arroz con leche is the ultimate comfort food around here! 🙂 Can’t wait to see your recipe.

Not a big fan of milk…maybe now and then with a cookie! Could be because I was raised on powdered milk and hated it.
