I can hardly find anything on it other than what I said. Search Feedburner API deprecated. There are still so many people using it. It just seems if they’re not developing it anymore that at the very least it will have more problems. I was tracking a new blog that I’ve been building for someone else and it was scary how slow it was at updating.

I don’t know, but I find it very disconcerting. I didn’t even know the whole feedburner issue. Google is bumming me out. Now I have to go research the issues with feedburner.

Although I went back to Blogger with a custom domain, I’m still using my old GFC that I began on Wordpress. I asked around on the Google Help boards and no one knew if I would be affected, but it sounded like they thought I would be.

The other thing that worries me is that the Feedburner API has been deprecated. Which seems to mean that they won’t be developing it anymore. They say they don’t have any plans to remove its existing functionality, but that doesn’t give me much comfort that it won’t be pulled sometime not far in the future. It seems like all the blogs use Feedburner for its feeds. What happens if they go under? Is there something else we should be using?

No GFC outside Blogger. Feedburner getting kicked off to the side. What the Funk is going on??? Is everyone going to Tumblr?

That’s what I’m afraid of. I’m afraid of my feed disappearing from everyone’s reader that subscribed via GFC. I would like to think that won’t happen, but I can’t get a clear answer and what I can piece together is leaning toward disappearance. It won’t happen until March of next year.
