This year I’ve really focused on curbing my consumerism and it’s working. I’m not swayed by sales the way I used to be and I’m finding joy in only buying things I actually use and need. So, even though I know that Amazon Prime Day is running from Tuesday, July 8 (12:01 a.m. PDT) through Friday, July 11 (11:59 p.m. PDT), I’m not at all interested on finding the “best deals” on things I don’t need. Like what do I care what the best deals on electronics are, if I know I don’t need any new electronics right now?
But I don’t mind using Amazon Prime Day Deals to save me money on products that I already use and buy repeatedly and I encourage you to do the same. Let me tell you how I do it and show you some examples of the things I will be stocking up on because I 100% know I will use these products.
Are they the “best deals” available on Amazon Prime Day? They are for me because I know I won’t have buyer’s remorse and I’m not buying them just because they are on sale.
How to Find the Best Amazon Deals for You
Instead of scrolling through articles that list the “best Prime Day Deals,” scroll through your order history.
- Go to your Amazon account.
- Navigate to Orders.
- Under “Your Orders” use the drop-down menu to show you orders in the time range of your choosing.
- Go through the items you’ve ordered in the past and plan on reordering, click on them and see if they are offering a special Prime Day deal. You’ll know if they are because you’ll see a little red sticker that says: Prime Day Deal.
- If you have the money to buy them and appreciate the sale price, add them to your cart and buy.
Here are some of the items I found on my past orders tab that are being offered at a discount for Prime Day that I’m thinking of buying.
Keep in mind these are affiliate links, which means if you purchase any of the items using the links, I’ll earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

EGYPTIAN MAGIC – All Purpose Face, Body, and Dry Skin Moisturizing Cream, Skin Protectant
I have been using this magical cream, which is a blend of honey, royal jelly, beeswax, olive oil, and bee propolis for decades and I predict I will be using it for the rest of my life. I primarily use it as a face cream at night, but also use it on my feet and in a pinch in my hair to tame flyaways. I have sensitive skin and have never had an issue with it.

Moroccanoil Curl Defining Cream
Both of my daughters have gorgeous curly hair that does well with Morroccanoil products. Prime Day deals are an incentive to stock up on their curl defining cream.

ROSELYNBOUTIQUE Pimple Patches for Face 300 Count
Pimples are no fun and not picking at them and worsening the situation is hard. Slapping a pimple patch on them can really help them go away faster and keep you from constantly touching or messing with them. We use these all the time.
In Closing…
Don’t get distracted by all the noise coming at you telling you that you should buy something you’re not even in the market for because it’s a great deal. I promise you there will be other sales. I promise you that buying something you don’t need will not be “life-changing.” It never is.
You know what is life-changing? Enjoying what you have, saving money by not spending it, and not constantly chasing the dopamine hit that comes from shopping.
