Whenever we walk by Creativity Explored in the Mission and the “Gallery Open” sign is out, we make a point to stop in and take a look at whatever wonderful art is on display or in the works. It always ends up being a delightful experience that gets us excited about our own creativity.
What is Creativity Explored?
Creativity Explored is a gallery and studio dedicated to giving “artists with developmental disabilities the means to create and share their work with the community, celebrating the power of art to change lives.”
When you walk through the front doors on 16th Street, you step into a lovely gallery with art and other items for sale. It’s cool for sure, but the best part is the studio behind the gallery where you can take a look at all sorts of imaginative creations. You never know what you’ll find, but you’ll always find something awesome that makes you want to tap into your own abilities to create, create, create.
