Do you remember the first time you heard that POP? Not just any POP, but that very specific, distinctive and unmistakable POP that happens after you take the label off of a roll of Pillsbury™ Cinnamon Rolls and the container bursts open with a force that screams, “I can’t keep all this yumminess inside, I have to let it out so you can have some.”
Sometimes it catches you by surprise and you jump a little and gasp, other times the pop needs a little help and you press a spoon along the seams of the container until—POP it bursts open.
I can’t actually pinpoint the first time I heard that pop, but I don’t remember a time when I didn’t know what that sound means. It means that shortly I’ll be enjoying a warm fresh out of the oven perfectly gooey cinnamon roll for breakfast and is that ever a bad thing? Nope, never a bad thing.
Now that I am a mother I have two daughters that know the sound of that POP means that the day is about to start with a special treat. If they hear that POP coming from the kitchen when they are in another room they actually get upset because they want to help me “make” the Pillsbury™ Grands! Cinnamon Rolls. Never mind that we’re not really “making” them and are instead simply baking them because what we are “making” are special memories and is that ever a bad thing? Nope, never a bad thing.
It’s not every day that we enjoy Pillsbury™ Grands! Cinnamon Rolls. No, we save them for special mornings. Mornings when we want to feel special or mornings when we have guests visiting for the holidays and we want them to wake up and feel embraced by the sweet welcoming scent of something delicious baking in the oven just for them.
What’s great about these “special” treats is that they are so incredibly simple to make. Sometimes all it takes is something simple to make you and the people you care about feel special and is that ever a bad thing? Nope, never a bad thing.
Do you remember when you first heard that POP?
