Last week I got to spend some time in Los Angeles and I was so lucky that two friends did me the favor of picking me up from the airport when I arrived and taking me back when I was leaving. I got to share two meals with them one of them being breakfast at Blu Jam Café on Melrose.
I, not being a local, did not know of the place and when we got there it was early enough that we walked right in and got a table with no problem. While we chatted and enjoyed some great coffee and yummy food including their signature crunchy French toast the place filled up. By the time we left there was a line of hungry folks in the bright LA morning sun waiting to get in. I felt more than a little pleased that I had somehow gone to a breakfast hot spot and avoided the wait.

crunchy French toast – I would wait in line for that. Does the place turn into a night club in the evening?

And the crunchy French toast is served with a vanilla bean sauce. It was very good. I think it’s a breakfast club all day long.

By the way, love your flying Chancla reports!
And glad to come back to the SIMC again…the last few Sundays have been mad – I kept bunching up photos to post and never got around to it. Sigh.
But I did make a couple of video posts last week and it was so much fun! Check them out when you have a moment! And happy Women’s Day!
