Once upon a time, my husband used to volunteer at the San Francisco Botanical Garden; he loved it and it continues to hold a special place in his heart. It is home to over 9,000 plants from all over the world. The garden is spread across 55 acres; it’s a wonderful place to stroll through and marvel at the beauty of nature.
This weekend the weather was gorgeous, the kind of weather that makes you want to be outdoors, so we headed to the SF Botanical Garden. Every time I go, I feel like I see something I’ve never seen before. This visit I got to see the caterpillar crossing for the first time ever.
I’ve seen deer crossing signs before and I’m sure some other animal crossing signs.
But, I had never seen a caterpillar crossing sign.
I totally get why caterpillar crossing signs are needed. Just look at that beautiful little critter. If you aren’t paying attention while it’s trying to get from one place to another, you could easily step on it.
Caterpillar crossing signs totally make sense.
I’m happy to say that because of the signs and our diligence, we did not step on any caterpillars.
