This weekend we celebrate our rock: my husband and the father of my children. He is solid, strong and formidable. We always know that he will be there for us.
May this be a very happy weekend full of love for all the fathers that are rocks.
While we celebrate these fantastic fathers, let us not forget about the almost 2,000 children thus far that have been separated from their parents because of the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” policy, which sends adults who have entered the country illegally to federal jails and puts their children in detention centers. Children as young as 2 years old are being put in these so-called “shelters” without their parents. It’s absolutely deplorable.
