Welcome to another edition of I Comment Therefore I Am, where I put together a post from comments I’ve left on other blogs. Below are some of my favorite posts from the previous week and what they inspired me to say.
I’ve always felt that the media should be progressive, but for the most part it is not. The {wannabe} WAHM wrote a great post about the lack of positive “mom” role-models on TV…
I agree with you. I think a lot of the times moms are just not portrayed as people in their own right on TV, they are just there to support the other characters. They are someone’s mom as opposed to someone that happens to be a mom.
My Little Miracles was inspired to write a post for all her friends that are pregnant right now. Giving birth to another human being was a huge learning experience for me.
… Nothing about giving birth went like planned for me. I learned that as a parent I have to be flexible and take things as they come.
Are you familiar with The Zen of Motherhood? The author of this blog has a gift. Her gift is a sort of economical use of words. She can concisely write a post that says more than most writers can evoke in volumes. Anyway, one such post led me to write…
I’ve always wanted to be one of those people that can acknowledge they’ve made a mistake, grow from it, and move on. Instead I like to beat myself up. It doesn’t do any good, but it keeps me busy.
At Starting Over, Jen showed me a picture of John Travolta with a shaved head. Jen thinks men should stop stressing over losing their hair because bald is hot. I have to agree.
My husband started losing his hair at a very young age and he regularly shaves his head. My husband is hot! (side note: Stating the truth should not be considered bragging. I can’t help it that my husband is hot.) I am not suggesting that if you have a full head of hair, you need to shave it off to be hot. Hot comes with hair or without.
That’s it for this edition of I Comment Therefore I Am.
