Welcome to another edition of I Comment Therefore I Am, where I put together a post from comments I’ve left on other blogs. Below are some of my favorite posts from the previous week and what they inspired me to say.
Kristen, wrote a post about losing control and how it’s a good thing. She explains it in conjunction to her strong faith in God.
I may not be a religious person, but I totally get this. I understand it on a gut level and I know it to be true. I unnecessarily suffered because of my control issues. I was such a perfectionist that it only lead to disappointment. Now I understand that the only thing I can truly control is my reaction to things.
Cheeseboy posted a video of himself and some kids in the back of Burt Reynolds’ pick-up truck, I use the term “Burt Reynolds” loosely. There was a whole lot of hype associated with him posting this video so he hoped it didn’t disappoint.
Honestly? I’m disappointed. How could you allow those children to ride in the back of Burt Reynolds’ pickup truck without any seat belts? Don’t you tell me that it’s because the pickup bed does not have seat belts. Anybody knows that in a pinch a seat belt can be fashioned out of duct tape. If I ever see you in the back of Burt Reynolds’ moving truck again, you better have a duct tape seat belt on or I will citizen’s arrest your a$$!

Georgina Dollface asked an interesting question, “If someone offered you a lottery ticket today that was guaranteed to win $100,000 tax-free tomorrow, but accepting it meant that you could never, ever win another prize of any size or value ever again in your life, would you take it?” My answer…
I’d choose the money and every time someone else won something in my presence I would stand up and yell, “That’s great, but I won $100,00 tax free!” That way I would always feel lucky.
The 5th Sister is an excellent writer and one of her recent posts prompted me to say…
I used to have dreams about work all the time and it bothered me that I wasn’t getting paid to dream them.
That’s it for this edition of I Comment Therefore I Am.
