Perhaps you’ve noticed that I truly value humor? If you want to butter me up, tell me that I’m funny and you will have me wrapped around your little finger. I always say that if I were a superhero, my power would be the ability to make others laugh. It seems I don’t have to be a superhero to be able to do that. I’m fortunate enough to be able to inspire chuckles and laughter.
There are however some subjects that are just not funny. No matter how much I turn them over and try to find the humor, there just isn’t anything there to laugh at. Does that mean that I never tackle those subjects? No, of course not.
Today, at Miss Unlimited by Aiming Low, I am sharing something that is not funny at all. It is a difficult subject for me to discuss, but I think it’s important. I originally wrote the post in October and called it, Life is not Always Easy. It has taken almost 4 months to actually have the courage to publish it and I’ve changed the title. I would really appreciate your support as every time I think about the subject matter, I feel as vulnerable as a 10-year-old girl. If you have a moment, please stop by and read Men Should Not Kiss 10-Year-Old Girls. A kind comment would be appreciated. Thank you in advance and I promise to be funny again very soon.

Your tooting post still makes me laugh. When you were tooting on the girl in the wheelchair and your mom thought the girl smelled like chit…..

I read it, thanks for sharing. “..funny again very soon” – that’s the great part because it shows you put those dark events in their right place and you moved on to create a fun enjoyable life for you and your family. all the best

Sad to say that being inappropriately touched at a young age is another thing we have in common. Thank you for your courage to speak up.

Your trust is your readership is appreciated. Through your bravery and faith we know that you have given your children a voice to say these actions are not okay. Your post will help others, who’ve gone through similar incidents, know its okay (but hard) to talk to others about their experiences. Writing from the heart, whether funny or serious, is what’s important and you do that quite well. ((Abrazo))

As always, your writing is thought-provoking, whether it be about “toots” or about how we share a common thread. I haven’t been able to write anything funny for a month, now, so I haven’t written. But reading your post about an experience of yours has inspired me to start typing and let the ideas just come. You are such an amazing woman who reminds us of the important things in life. Thank you for your courage and your inspiration.
