I collect shoes, people, and smiles
…memories, moments, and laughter.
I collect debt, desires, and dreams
…sometimes regrets, failures, and shortcomings.
I collect passion, drive, and admiration
…successes, hugs, and words.
I collect insecurities, worry, and stress
…weight, want, and wantonness.
I collect growth, progress, and change
…new beginnings, hope, and prosperity.
I collect anger, resentment, and grudges
…scowls, eye rolls, and I-told-you-sos.
Obviously some of my collections are better than others.
What do you collect?

Hey Beautiful, have a wonderful 4th of July!

Oh you should drop the wantonness. Many other good ‘w’ words like whispers, wishes, or whip-poor-wills. I remember when you collected comments. You even collected and shared one of mine once.
unknownmami says
Oh yes, comment collecting is fun. I just don’t have the time for it anymore. I’m pretty sure I shared more than one of your comments. I still vastly enjoy reading your comments. I feel like we are blogging dinosaurs at this point.
lisleman says
Yes maybe you did. I know I posted about at least one comment of yours.
“blogging dinosaurs” don’t know if I like that image. Of course scientists are not sure what dinosaurs look like. The latest I read had them in feathers. How about blogging superheroes?
