I live in the “home” of Crocs (Boulder, CO) and I have never had a pair, though I have bought many pairs for grandkids.

It all started because I bought my daughter a pair of Crocs online and they has a pair in my size for $14 and I thought…well, I can just wear them in the yard or something and then I put them on and I wear them all the time.

I have a GREEN pair of croc wedges and when I tell folks they are crocs they do NOT believe me.
unknownmami says
They have some cute cork wedges.

Most of my day care kids wear them. I haven’t bought a pair. If they are that super comfy, I will go out and buy a pair.
unknownmami says
They are ridiculously comfortable and some of the grown up styles are pretty cute.

I have yet to try wearing them. I hear women saying they are comfortable but yet I look at them and think the rubber or plastic or whatever it is will just make my feet sweat. So my question is do they?
unknownmami says
For years, starting way before I ever heard of Crocs, I have been swiping my feet with deodorant (the same kind I wear under my arms). I usually wear shoes without socks and I don’t want to kick off my shoes and find that they are all sweaty and stinky. I don’t find that my feet sweat any more with Crocs than they do in any other shoes.
Okay, now Crocs should send me some shoes or something since I’m talking them up so much.

The blue ones in the photo are cute; most of the ones I have seen are ugly.

I do agree that the ones that look like clog-ish nurse shoes are unattractive on anyone older than 5.

So true. I wore them during my Haj and they were a blessing.

Your shoes have left me speechless, but I’m not in a position to comment on what other people wear. 😀
unknownmami says
You made me laugh.

Hey, rock ’em if they are comfy!! I don’t own any either but I won’t knock them 😉

I’ve never tried on a pair. Maybe I will have to do just that.

I’m a shoe whore, so I’ve not ever been able to bring myself to try them. They do look comfy though. I love the photos with your girls’ colorful crocs. Super cute!

I actually don’t think those crocs are too bad. Some are cute. I hear they are super comfy.

I think those are really cute! My friend has a pair like these look like ballet flats I’d consider those.

any idea of the name origin? Crocs – seems like an odd name. You know the expression “what a crock”? I think that would have backfired on them. I’ve never owned any but I slipped my daughter’s on to run out and pick-up the newspaper a few times.

Well, I never really grew up so I don’t know about the “grown woman” part and I’m really not much of a shoe person but I have the traditional/original crocs (3 pair) plus several pair of stylish boots and I love them all! I bought the first pair in dirt brown to work in the yard because I wanted something slip on/off. They were so comfy I eventually tried their boots. I can walk for hours in them without pain. They’re fabulous!
