My husband is going to Japan next month. Lucky dog! The rest of us will not be joining him, but we did go to Japantown in San Francisco this weekend and enjoyed some Japanese food at Ramen Yamadaya. They specialize in Tonkotsu broth ramen, which gets its rich flavor from pork bones that have been boiled for over 20 hours. Quite the opposite of fast food, no?
We’d never been before. My youngest enjoyed the bowl of ramen that she ordered and I absolutely loved the chicken kara-age. Oh, and the sake was very easy to drink.
