Today, I’m feeling very uninspired. Thank God for Laura at Under the Sheets-shhh; otherwise, I’d have nothing to write about. She asks, what are the next 5 things that I must do in life, inspired by the book, The List: 100 Ways to Shake Up Your Life. Ok here goes:
1. Find inspiration in everyday things. My daughter who is 9 months old looks at things as only a child can; everything is so new and exciting. The truth is that things are still exciting, I’ve just stopped noticing.
2. Get a passport. I’ve been just about nowhere. By not having a passport, it’s like I’m saying that I’m never going to go anywhere. I used to be able to go to Mexico without a passport, but now that’s changed. I can’t even go visit family members.
3. Write stand-up comedy. I love making people laugh and I’m frickin’ funny, but for some reason writing my own material and performing it terrifies me. I’ve come up with this idea for a
Stand Up Momedy Hour, where mommies bring their kids and watch other mommies do stand up. Now all I have to do is write the material.
4. Take singing lessons. I think people who can sing are blessed. I grew up listening to my family members sing at every gathering. They sing so beautifully, they could be professionals. Unfortunately, I inherited my mother’s singing voice. I’ve been in plays where there is singing and have been asked not to sing because I was throwing everyone off.
5. Adopt. There are so many kids out there that need a family. It should not be expensive to adopt a child.
Well, there you have it. I’m a strong believer that the universe is abundant. If you voice what you want, you usually get it.

Hawaii)But I have always wanted to cross “the pond”. I think I’ll get a
passport too. What the heck!
