Your photos always make me miss the city! I’ve always loved the arrow 🙂
I love the bow and arrow, I’ve never seen that before.
I don’t understand the bow and arrow, but it sure is interesting! Why is it half buried I wonder.
Here’s info about the bow and arrow: http://oldenburgvanbruggen.com/largescaleprojects/cupidsspan.htm
Very interesting!! Thnx
Oh what a beautiful summer sky….
We’ve enjoyed Michael Phelps’s swims in London – he’s so gooooood!
San Francisco is beautiful. Love the bow in the last photo. 😀
Love the photos…especially the tugboat!
Leaves me dreamy and wishing I was there. Such an iconic image the bridge and I love the bow and arrow. Have a great Sunday! 🙂
Love the picture of the fire boat.
I love public art and the last shot is a fantastic example of why. Loud, colourful, fun and there for everyone to enjoy. Have a great week.
We just got back from a great week in Greece with beautiful blue skies but I do wished that I lived in place like that and not quite so grey as the UK. Love the blue in these images.
If you had a moment could you change my link to say SIMPLE tastes…. *sigh… Damn typos
Thanks
Mollyxxx
The perspective on the bridge shots is wonderful.
Hi Claudya! Love these, I have many happy memories of the view – Oakland Bridge to Treasure Island – Brilliant! But where is that bow and arrow?! Is it new? Indigo x
One of my favorite places! I used to work at the Embarcadero and I loved coming out of the BART and find myself surrounded by stores on one side and a view on the other! Sorry I’ve been a stranger.
xoxo
Dear Unknown M, the first link to the Gumbo is an older link. Kindly remove when you have time.
I have visited S.F. a few times, and can’t wait to return….too bad my husband hates flying. When I ask if he would like to visit someplace, he answers with a question: how many hours is the flight? Seems his limit, with medication of course, is 4 hours, and S.F. is 6 hours…Guess I’ll have to go alone!
Very cool bridge…I would have to travel about two hours to find a bridge like this….love the red ferry boat!!!
I know you stopped by yesterday, so you know that I posted a Sundays in my City…on Saturday!! Because I’ve lost my bleedin’ mind and can’t remember what day it is. Seriously. I need a vacation.
I just thought you were ahead of the game.
And I’m personally a fan of the giant arrow.
I like the arrow too. My husband doesn’t.
Love the bridge!
We visited SF and the Embarcadero in the fall of 2009. I got lots of great shots of the area but, I missed seeing that bow and arrow. What a great shot that would have been.
wondering if the bow and arrow have a story. They do go together well.

thanks – ” San Francisco’s reputation as the home port of Eros” – I had never heard that before. I knew Tony left his heart there but Eros?
Never tire of the bridge shots in SF. Loved living there – had moved to the East Bay to be closer to work, tehn moved even further east 🙂
The bow and arrow sculpture is cool. I like the bridge, too.
What an amazing bridge, and the fireboat! OMG I’d love a boat like that… ha! Dreams are free luckily. *smiles* You have some really lovely photos today Chick.
Beautiful, you always make me want to visit!
Beautiful shots. Funny thing about that bow and arrow. When I first looked at it I for some reason thought it was an odd flower then my granddaughter said something about it being a bow and arrow and wow I could see it. LOL
Have a great week.
Your city is so amazing.
Beautiful photos, excellent views of the pier.
Love the photos. Love the bow and arrow!
