On Sundays parts of Golden Gate Park are closed to traffic so that people can party in the streets.

I showed you mine, now show me yours.
Share your city/town/suburb/you name it! Think of this as a photography carnival or photography meme (with or without words) that not only lets you share your part of the world, but lets you visit other parts of the world virtually. If you link up, please link back or post the Sundays In My City button either in your post or sidebar to let people know that other bloggers are sharing their communities too. Happy trails!

Days like these we notice how cars are dominating our lives and how nice it is to ‘own’ the whole street to have fun!
The park looks peaceful, without cars.
What a great idea, to make the park more user-friendly. Looks like it was a lovely day for a scooter ride.
It is nice to leave the car behind. It is happening in more and more cities.
As they should! Glad to see you guys partook.

I have family who live near Golden Gate. Sundays are so much fun in the park!
LOVE that they do that – it’s so great for the kids.
What a neat idea. Wish our town would do that!
It’s the best, especially if you have kids. I used to work at a museum in the park on Sundays and there was something really special about being able to walk home in the middle of the street. It’s not a view you often get as a pedestrian.
The more I look at your photos, the more I feel your city and mine (Vancouver) are not so different. We are both so fortunate to have some wonderful spaces to enjoy the outdoors. Love to see their world so happily! Thanks for hosting this fine meme!
One day I will have the pleasure of visiting your city. I would love to see it in person.
I adore these photos! I am loving the zero traffic!
Looks like a fun place to be!
Love the colorful helmets and bright clothes. I lived in SF for 15 years, and I seem to miss it most when I come to your posts. New Zealand is so small that this week I am sharing from the other island, rather than my town.
How fun to be able to play in the street and not worry about cars. All that space!
How peaceful…. wish they did that here, but then again, many kids don’t play outside much 🙁 Your girls are lucky!
Love the shots from behind.
