See my eldest in the picture above hiding behind her brand new Philips Sonicare For Kids? Guess what she’s hiding?
It’s a baby tooth that is on the verge of falling out.
This will not be her first baby tooth to fall out, in fact we’ve been getting regular visits from the Tooth Fairy lately, which means that we need to really start playing for keeps when it comes to her dental hygiene because we want all the teeth that replace her baby teeth to last a lifetime.

Now, the Tooth Fairy has been bringing the usual monetary compensation, but this time the Tooth Fairy stepped it up a notch. In anticipation of this wiggly front tooth falling out, the Tooth Fairy sent us the Philips Sonicare For Kids power toothbrush. SCORE!
My eldest was pretty darned stoked about the toothbrush for a variety of reasons. Like:
- Mami has an adult version of the Philips Sonicare power toothbrush so getting one of her own feels like a rite of passage.
- It comes with customizable stickers!
- It’s rechargeable and she gets to be in charge of the recharging.
- It’s fun and easy to use.
Those are all very good reasons to like the toothbrush, but what really blew her mind is that you can connect it to a free app and the whole brushing experience becomes interactive.
I’m not gonna lie to you, she has always been pretty diligent about brushing her teeth because I nag her to do it and I’m a pretty good nag (ask my husband), but now she is actually EAGER to brush her teeth. I can’t say I ever saw that coming, but WOO HOO!
I’m thinking the Tooth Fairy should really start giving Philips Sonicare For Kids out more often.
FYI: The part of the Tooth Fairy in this story was played by me. I hate to burst your bubble, but the Tooth Fairy doesn’t really exist. I used a gift card that I was sent to buy the power toothbrush, but I gave the Tooth Fairy credit because I’m selfless like that when it comes to my kids.

What a good way to start her off. That is one smart Tooth Fairy!
