How do you feel about bumper stickers? Do you like them? Do you have any on your car?
Honestly, I’m not crazy about them. Only because they are really hard to remove. I mean what if I don’t always want to drive around with a campaign sticker from ’04? Or what if my kid is no longer an honor student at Tiny Tots Roly Poly?
Bumper stickers are more of a commitment than I am willing to make. Why then do I have the following proudly displayed on my car?
Ahh, because this my friends belongs to genus: car magnet, not sticker! Jealous much? That’s how I roll in my Mami-mobile with my own bumper magnet, blasting toddler tunes. Can you say, “All that, in a paper bag?” Can you dig it?
My friends at BuildASign.com let me design my very own car magnet and sent me 10 of them (no other compensation was received). It was easy to do and I like them. They also make for a sturdy refrigerator magnet.
So you wanna drive me around town? Would you like an Unknown Mami car magnet? It’s awfully cute. If you do, let me know in the comments. If more than one person wants one, I’ll pull a name out of a paper bag and pick a winner. If you win it and put it on your car or fridge, send me a picture and I’ll post it.
Gee, I hope at least one person wants one or I’m going to feel like a total dork.

@FurryBottoms:twitter said, ” YAY! I totally want one. I would love to show you off around town!”
Awesome! Now I don’t have to feel like a total dork.
Tara R. says
That is awesome. I like the idea of a magnet better than a sticker. I don’t put stickers on my car either, but a sticker would be perfect.
Tom says
I like the idea of magnets more than stickers. There is something kind of “unclassy” about a bumper sticker. I drive two piece of junk vehicles (one is even missing the hubcaps), but I wouldn’t ever put a bumper sticker on them.
lisleman says
I would love one and I would put it on my car. Is your picture on your fridge? Are they big enough to read on a car without causing an accident?
unknownmami says
The picture is on my car. They are big enough to read without causing an accident, but I will not be liable for any accidents caused anywhere near their vicinity.
lisleman says
you are starting to sound like a lawyer – knock it off. Curious, do you have blog business cards?
unknownmami says
Yes, I do have blog business cards.

OMG! I wanna drive you around town! I’m even willing to learn to drive a stick shift! How can you say “no” to INTERNATIONAL publicity? LOL
Your magnetic bumper sticker to too darn cute, even if I don’t get one. 🙂

Me likey! The only thing I’d be worried about would be somebody stealing it, just for kicks. Do you leave it on all the time or just while you are driving? – G
Eva Gallant says
I’m game! I am a fan, so of course I’d love a car magnet!
Kerri Kwiatkowski says
So are you going to have to permanently wear the paper bag? Otherwise how will people know it’s really you. You don’t want to be sued for false advertisement. ;o) If you have any left I’d love to drive you around town, it might make for interesting parking lot conversations with the town folk. As payment I’ll send you the large cardboard cutout I have of myself.

I am so with you on bumper stickers. Not on my car. HERE are my feelings about that. Others my like to display their feelings openly on their cars but not this Monkey. I might put that UM Mag on fridge….if selected.

Sure! How cool!

I would consider a magnet, but have never done a bumper sticker. For some reason I just find them a bit trashy…. especially when there’s 6 or 12 0r 20 of them!

good knocks your socks off … with one another.

Well *I* think it’s pretty cool. Sadly, I’m with ya on the bumper sticker. Wayyyy too much of a commitment. So guess who doesn’t have a tattoo either 😉
unknownmami says
That’s why I’ve never gotten a tattoo either.
Kristin & Megan says
Dude…I’d totally put that shiz on my fridge!
unknownmami says
You made me smile!
Mrs4444 says
Hmm. Love the idea of a magnet instead of sticker. Now, though, you’ve got me thinking about making my own bumper sticker, but not for blog advertising–Something snarky, maybe (but people would steal that). I’ll have to think on this…

I guess since I’m 28th on the list I’m SOL. sigh…..anyway, that’s SO cool!
Kimberly says
I agree. I don’t like to put on stickers too much either. I do have a small honu on my back window and a “feel your boobies” campaign magnet. The magnets are a great alternative. Very cute magnet!
Matty Matty says
Sounds like a great idea. You should find a way to market them. Make some money.
LindyLouMac in Italy says
What fun of course I would love one. I collect magnets 🙂
blueviolet says
I’ve thought about doing that, but the private part of me won’t let me do it.
However, they are really cool!

YES YES YES 🙂
Hey, you remember me right? I used to have the blog Fish Bowl under the name steven anthony 🙂
unknownmami says
Of course, I remember you. You my friend are unforgettable. But NO! I had not made the connection that this was you. One day I just couldn’t find your blogs so I wished you well and sent you positive thoughts.
So nice to know it’s you.

I;m gonna do this too! Didn’t realize they had magnetic ones!

I have a bumper sticker on my car and a magnet – The bumper sticker says “Please don’t take your organs to heaven. Heaven knows we need them here.” Since organ donation is a life long passion of mine, I was able to commit to the sticker. I have an organ donation magnet on all three cars and I also have a sticker from the Isle of Man on my car. Since my car is nearing 100K miles, I don’t mind giving it a bit of sticker love. The car I just purchased a few weeks ago, just has the magnet.
I would love to be in the running for an Unknown Mami magnet!
