Ay, ay, ay the news this week has been devastating. Truly. My thoughts and heart go out to everyone affected by violence. I believe that in the midst of all this sadness we must continue to dream of and work toward a better world in small and big ways. One small way to do that is to wish for better. Better in our own lives and better in the lives of others. With that in mind I invite you to make some Wednesday Wishes and to help lend your wishing power to the wishes I’m making.
Here’s what I’m wishing for this week…

For myself:
- Please, please, please don’t let me get bogged down in the sadness of it all. I’ve been doing really well with my outlook on life, so well that my psychiatrist and I are working on lowering my meds to maybe nothing some day. I really want to find ways to stay focused on what I want out of life which is happiness. Help me with that, Universe.
- Also, SHOW ME THE MONEY. You know what I’m talkin’ about. I know you do. Now, show it to me!
For others:
- My Yuli, is goin’ on a trip and wouldn’t it be fantabulous if it was both uber productive and unreasonably fun? Make it happen!
- Ariana, Audrey, myself and so many others are wishing that those responsible for the Brussels bombings are all found and held responsible. And may all those suffering because of these attacks find comfort and peace.
- Cindy is wishing for strength for our friend Ryan. Ryan’s mother is not doing well health-wise and Ryan is a loving warrior by her side.
- Ryan read what Cindy was wishing for (I asked for wishes via Facebook) as he sat by his mother’s bedside at the hospital, then Ryan made some wishes too. Universe, not only is Ryan being a warrior for his mother, he’s going through his own health scare that he’s been keeping to himself. He got some bad news from a pulmonologist last week and has to have more tests to determine whether or not he has a “serious life threatening disease.” Ryan would like prayers for both his mother and himself. Please help them both, Universe. My special wish for Ryan is that he has the courage and self-love to lean on those that love him during this time and that he takes as good care of himself as he does of his mother. He is a very loving and devoted son. He needs some love and devotion sent his way as well.
- Mari is wishing for the continued safety of her daughter who is in Europe and for “strength for all the families of victims in Brussels.”
- Jessa’s got some homesickness going on and she knows it will pass, but why don’t we go ahead and wish for Max to get offered an irresistible full-time job that he just can’t pass up. Oh, and we’re not telling him…OK?
- Lorraine said I could wish for anything I like, so I wish that you bring her to San Francisco soon.
- Lexi found out that her landlord is planning to sell soon, so she needs to find a new home. Help her land somewhere that’s even better than where she is now, please.
- Laura is makin’ a move. She needs to sell her home, buy a new one, find a fantastic new job in her new ‘hood and we would like for all of this transitioning to go smoothly.
- Can you pretty please help Telma get approved for her mortgage loan?
- Chris is wishing for some great MRI results for her adorable little nephew who is going through something scary. I would like that wish to extend to sending some comfort to the child’s parents and all those that are worried about him.

Glad that you are doing well with your psychiatrist. I know that I need help with sadness. So many wishes, keeping everyone in my heart and in my prayers. Ryan’s story really moved me….((Hugs))

Your wishes community appears to be growing. I’m not very public with my problems. Of course, we (and our families, friends) all have problems so I wish that more people think about others so even common problems can at least become common ground to bring us together.
Thanks for a post that helped me think about this.

I’ve been asking people to submit wishes via Facebook lately because that’s where everyone seems to hang out. I like your wish and I am wishing along with you.

I’m glad things are going well and hope the universe continues to be good to you. I am putting my wish power behind this caring wish community. My wish is for strength, strength for all who need a bit more to get through each day and for myself to press forward in the direction the universe is guiding me.
