I think wishing gets a bad rap and it’s not fair. It’s like when you say, “I wish…blah, blah, blah,” people assume that you’re lazy and want things to fall in your lap. Maybe some people use the word wish in that way, but not me. I wish for the things I want as a way to communicate to the Universe what I would like sent my way AND as a way to communicate to myself what it is that I want to achieve. In other words I wish for it and I work for it.
Then there are the things that are completely out of my control like the wish that I have this week. Why shouldn’t I wish for what I want? Why not spend my time focusing on a positive outcome instead of worrying about a bad outcome that may or may not come true and that I certainly don’t want to come true?
I am taking back the word wish and using it as a word of empowerment, as a word of intention, as a word of manifestation.
Here’s what I’m wishing for this week…
Wishes for me:
- I took my youngest daughter to get an ultrasound today because she only has one kidney and her blood pressure has been high the last two times we took her to the doctor. Please, help us figure out why her BP is high. Keep the cysts that are where her right kidney should be small and keep her left kidney strong and healthy.

Wishes for others:
- Send patience and opportunities to Amber. Never stop.
- Gayle wishes we had brought back doggie bags from a Ling Ling Fried Rice event we attended on Monday and that we could all get together to recreate the delicious recipes. I’m up for it. Also, please give Gayle many reasons to smile now and always.
- Paty would really dig some worthy connections that lead to paid work.
- Helena’s all “Uh, I want some of what Paty’s talkin’ about!”
- Mari is lookin’ for love: She’s lookin’ for a publishing house to fall in love with her bilingual children’s story and publish all three of her books.
- Jazzy is lookin’ for romance. You know what to do, Universe.
- Taca is READY to work in a different department. This new department will be one that she likes, challenges her and allows her to unleash her full potential.
- Oh Universe, Martha and her family really need your love, kindness and support to see their way out of the sorrow, shock and utter anguish of losing Martha’s grand-nephew. He took his life on Monday. There are no words. It’s only been what feels like a minute since Martha’s mother passed away. Everyone is still recovering from that loss and now this? Please, please help them, heal them and give them strength to keep on going.
That’s it for me this week. What are you wishing for?

I really hope that your daughter is okay….sending wishes your way and to everyone else. I think that wishing is similar to dreaming. We all need to dream and be hopeful!
