I’ve told you before that I am a sucker for free fonts. Fonts do it for me and the fonts that come preinstalled on my computer are not enough, so I go searching for more. I visit dafont.com pretty regularly and find it easy to search for and download free fonts from them, but when I’m looking for free handwritten fonts in particular my absolute favorite site to get them at is kevinandamanda.com. There is a section called Fonts for Peas that has over “500 of the cutest and most unique handwriting fonts on the ‘net.” You can even submit your own handwriting and have it turned into a font. Awesome, right?

Now, I could send you over there to look through all the fonts on your own and I do recommend that you do that, but 500+ fonts can get overwhelming and make your eyes cross after a bit, so I thought I would give you a list my favorite 10 free handwritten fonts to sort of narrow your options. They are all named “Pea…(something).” So like Pea Carmen or Pea Jack and Jane. And now for your font ogling pleasure, here are my 10 favorite free handwritten fonts:
To get any of the above fonts installed on your own computer…
- Head over to Font for Peas
- Find the search box that says, “Looking for fonts?”
- Type in the name of the font you are looking for (i.e. “Pea Hollee”) and hit enter.
- Download and install the font. If you don’t know how, check out the section called, “How do I use these fonts??!” I promise it’s not very hard.
What’s your favorite font?
