My eldest turned 10 this weekend. Un-freakin-believable. How?
10 Things About My 10-Year-Old
- This year she wanted a pound cake instead of a birthday cake. We got her a pound cake and cupcakes in case her guests weren’t as excited about pound cake as she is.
- She thinks most cakes have WAY TOO MUCH frosting, hence the whole pound cake thing.
- One year she asked Santa Claus for a kitchen sponge for Christmas and nothing else.
- She has the dorkiest most wonderful laugh.
- Dresses aren’t her thing. Her favorite outfit is a shirt, tie, blazer, khaki pants and some nice tennis shoes.
- She writes letters to the powers that be when she really cares about something.
- She’s an artist and a scientist.
- She’s saving up to buy a house.
- Sleep is something that she does because she has to, but she would much rather be awake 24/7.
- She loves her family passionately.
Happy birthday to my eldest! I love her more than I ever could have imagined. She makes me so incredibly proud. I must have done something amazing in a past life to have been given the honor of being her mother in this lifetime.
