The start of this school year is a really big deal for us because my eldest, Put Pie, is starting kindergarten. It’s like the start of a whole new era for us. I’m excited and terrified at the same time. She is a little apprehensive of this big change in her life, but we’ve been easing the apprehension by getting her excited about new school supplies.
I was contacted by Staples and asked if I would be interested in reviewing some of their fun and whimsical back-to-school essentials and I enthusiastically agreed because even though I’m no longer in school, I will forever love school supplies and I can already tell that my daughter shares my love.
I’m glad they got in touch because quite honestly, Staples was not on my radar for back to school shopping. I mean, I thought of them more as a place to get office supplies for myself, but clearly they have my kids covered too.
The items we received were all a huge hit, but the two items my daughter loves the most are the Staples Flexible Calculator and Woodland Animal Pencil Pouch. I myself am partial to the Staples Clear Arc Poly notebook, which is totally customizable and refillable. I may or may not be keeping that baby for myself.
Staples offers a variety of ways to earn rewards or save money, but I have to say that I really like their binder recycling program. Throughout the back-to-school shopping season, you get $2 off of a new binder when you bring in your old one to recycle.
