Not to brag or anything, but I happen to be married to the world’s greatest dad. I know it’s a bold claim, but it’s true. Since he’s so great, we love to celebrate him any time we can and delight in getting him gifts he’ll actually like, which means no boring ties or BBQ-related stuff — he’s not a fan. But he is a fan of outdoorsy activities and fortunately there are so many wonderful gifts for outdoorsy dads on the market.
I put together a short list of what I consider to be some of the best gifts for dads who love the outdoors. But before I share, I want to remind you that any great dad worthy of the title, does not want you to buy him things you can’t afford. Remember that and don’t overspend, don’t buy on credit, buy what you can afford.

Promising review:
Well, I must say, this dashing little number from 4Monster is quite the triumph! One moment you’re wrestling with your worldly goods, and the next — abracadabra — you’ve a full-sized backpack springing forth from something no larger than a crumpet. Truly, it folds down smaller than my aunt Edna’s handbag chihuahua.

Here are some ideas:
- Go on a hike together
- Go to the beach and hang
- Go camping together
- Take him to a local botanical garden
- Go birdwatching
- Play his favorite game with him
- Have a picnic in the park
- Print a picture of the two of you outdoors and give it to him framed
- Write him a note about how his love of the outdoors inspires you
Cheers to all the wonderful papis! May they be loved and celebrated all year long.
