Crazy Affordable Holiday Outfits for the Kids

Cookie's Kids

This time of year, we get sick, it rains, and we spend a lot of time indoors. Thank GAWD for online shopping or my kids would be wearing snotty PJs throughout the holidays. When Collective Bias offered me the opportunity to shop online at CookiesKids.com for holiday outfits for my girls, I was excited. But I got even more excited when I started shopping because the prices are AMAZING.

I have never shopped at Cookie’s Kids before. Aside from their online store, they have 7 stores in the NYC area (Bronx, Brooklyn, and Jamaica). The website was easy to navigate and the clothes are adorable. Check out this Marmellata “Starburst” Dress…

I’d love to see Put Pie, my 4 year-old, in that dress, but she’s just more laid back than that, so I kept looking. You can see more of my online shopping via my #CookiesKids google+ album.

When I found the dress that I wanted for Put Pie, I decided to try out the Alva Kids sizing guide. It’s right next to the size selector (you can see it in the pic above, it’s the little orange square). You have to register to use the guide and fill in some info like height and weight. It also asks for your child’s ethnicity. I’m not sure I understand why that is needed for sizing. I found it a bit odd.

Once I filled everything in, the Alva sizing guide told me the dress I wanted for Put Pie was not available in her size, but I disagreed and ordered the size I thought was correct and I’m glad I did because I was right.

You ready to see what I picked for the girls?

For Put Pie, I picked (and by “I” picked, I mean she let me pick) the Cherry Stix “See Me” Belted Dress.

The verdict: We love the belt!

Luna Pie, got Vitamins Baby Sparkle Footed Tights…

…and the Youngland “Avandero” Dress.

The verdict: she loves her tights and pitched a fit when I went to take the dress off.

The best part of the two outfits that they cost less than $30 total and that included delivery. Excellent, excellent value!

Darling outfits, although your girls are so adorable they could make a paper sack look cute as all get out.

SO SUPER CUTE!!! I love those outfits and $30 is VERY reasonable.
Ethnicity on a sizing chart for children? weird. Does the sizing change based on the ethnicity?

Gorgeous. That Put Pie is a natural style-girl. Oh gosh, I was about to say what Nita said! 😀 But that’s the truth! Your girls are stunners…and so are you!

I would love to take your girls shopping in my area – and buy them some really jazzy Indian outfits! Hmm. I just birthed an idea!
