DIY: Glue Gun Spiderwebs

Easy to make hot glue gun spiderwebsSponsored_Post-unknownmamiHee hee hee, my pretties! I can’t wait to show you how to make your very own glue gun spiderwebs because as we all know spiders are excellent webmakers, but good luck getting them to work on command and put webs where you want them. First though, I feel like a confession is in order or I will feel like a total hypocrite. You see, there was a time when I was a huge advocate for glue-gun control. It’s not that I ever wanted them outlawed or anything, I mean I believe in our right to hot glue things together, but I’ve seen too many tragedies against crafts with glue guns and it pained me. Then, I bought my first glue gun and the power I feel when I have that hot gun in my hand is unbelievable, it’s a rush and now I understand that glue guns don’t make ugly crafts, people with glue guns make ugly crafts. And really one person’s ugly is another person’s fabulous glue gun creation.

How to make glue gun cobwebs
Okay now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, time to show you how I made my very own spiderwebs with a glue gun. I wanted them to add a little Halloween flair to my digs. I love that when the times comes to sweep the cobwebs away these are really easy to remove.

You will need:

    • A hot glue gun
    • Plenty of glue sticks to refill your hot glue gun
    • A cookie sheet
    • Parchment paper
    • Glitter spray paint (totally optional)

Directions:

Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper and use your hot glue gun loaded with glue sticks to create spiderweb shapes. I free handed it and just used my spidey sense. You could draw the spiderweb shapes on the parchment paper first and then draw over them with the glue gun.
Once the glue has completely dried, it comes right off the parchment paper. You can leave your webs as is or if you are fond of glitter spray paint you can give them a little sparkle like I did.

When all your webs are good and dry, place them around your house where you normally would not want any spiderwebs because every October cobwebs are the new black.
