Easy, Breezy, Window Makeover

Easy_Breezy_Window_makeover

Sponsored_Post_SignSometimes I could just whack myself over the head with a rubber mallet for not making simple changes to my home that make it so much more pleasant to live in. For years I have been suffering living with curtains in my bedroom that my landlord put in.

I’ve never liked them. They are dreary and drab. I totally get why my landlord chose them, they “go” with everything and are unobtrusive, but that’s why I don’t like them. They suffer from what I call “beige”; they are BORING, bland, and blah. They aren’t even beige, they’re like ecru or eggshell or off-white, or some other fancy word for neither here nor there. Why oh why has it taken me years to change them?! Because I’m lazy I thought it would take effort and really it took just about no effort.

All I had to do was pick out a different set of window panels and hang them. I found these Allen + Roth curtain panels via Lowe’s and as soon as I swapped them out for the old curtains, I wanted to hit myself over the head with the aforementioned rubber mallet because I could have made this change YEARS ago. I guess I just didn’t realize that making such a small change in my home could be so darned satisfying.

Ah, tell me about it! My head is misshapen thanks to the number of times I’ve swotted myself for not doing an easy makeover much earlier than I did. 😀 Your transformation is lovely! 🙂

When we moved into this house, I put white in our family room and I so LOVE it. It’s just enough to look complete without too much fluff. 🙂 Love it when a plan comes together!
