Easy Guacamole Recipe #ILoveAvocados

Avocados are a staple in my kitchen year-round because I love them! I could eat avocados every day and never get sick of them. Think of the versatility. You can eat them in salads, on sandwiches, in quesadillas, as guacamole, or just put them on a tortilla with a little salt and ta-da!

I am going to share with you THE EASIEST GUACAMOLE RECIPE IN THE WORLD! It is so easy, that really it’s not even a recipe. You may question my abilities in the kitchen when you see how simple it is, but trust me when I tell you that every single time I serve this guacamole at a gathering someone will as me for the recipe. Of course once I give it to them, they look at me incredulously like it couldn’t possibly be so simple. But it is, it is that simple! You just let the avocados do all the work as far as flavor goes. Enough intro, here’s the recipe…

Ingredients:

  • 4 ripe avocados
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 a lemon or lime

Directions:

Easy guacamole recipe

Halve and pit 4 avocados.

Simple guacamole recipe

And that’s it!

You may be thinking, but Mami that’s so plain. I’ll tell you what…give it a taste and you’ll see it’s simply delicious! If you want to add more to it to fancy it up, go ahead, but I’ve just provided you with the base for any variation of guacamole. Most of the time I serve salsa with guacamole, so I don’t feel the need to add the same ingredients to the guacamole that are in the salsa.

In closing, I’d like to thank the avocado for being so delicious. Did you know that the world’s very first avocado was grown in Mexico, where avocados continue to thrive because of the rich volcanic soil? Mexico is the only place in the world where avocado trees bloom naturally four times a year making them available year-round, which is perfect for someone like me who likes to eat them all the time.

I love avocados! On sandwiches, withy my rice, on tacos, or just plain! I could eat a whole one by myself and usually do!

Avocados make me drool … but most of the time they never make it to be guacamole, I eat them straight up.

Delighted to meet you today. I hope you don’t mind if I splash around a bit to get to know you. This looks like a refreshing spot to dip into some serious goodness.

I LOVE avocados. I love guacamole. Just wish avocados were local produce, but not in central Wisconsin they aren’t.

Love avocados and guac- but that’s just mashed up avocado. I’d still love it!! But I have to have my tomato, onion, jalapeno, garlic, lime and cilantro for it to be guac!

Oh no, I’m of the school that there should be no garlic in guacamole. I’m a super-taster and although I love garlic, it overpowers guacamole. If premade guacamole has garlic in it, I won’t buy it, especially if it’s garlic powder. I’ve seen too many guacamoles ruined by garlic powder. I’m on the fence about onions in guacamole too, unless you rinse them first. Like I said, I usually have guacamole with salsa on the side which already has all the other stuff in it. I’m telling you serve the mashed up avocados with salt and lemon at a party and I bet you people will rave and ask you for the recipe. It happens to me all the time.

I like your view to keep the pure avocado flavor, adding other salsa as an accompaniment. I too like avocados, and living in southern California they were plentiful. Not so much here in Nebraska, but we do get them now and then.

Easy, yes. I have never tasted an avocado. I just looked up the internet to see what they’re locally called. Maybe the exotic fruit market will have them. Apparently they’re one among the ten super fruits – anti-aging benefits and great immunity builders fighting harmful free radicals. Sigh – they’re cultivated in Tamil Nadu, my home state (where I don’t live) I’ll go looking for them. I am intrigued. Thanks 😀 One store near our place has all sorts of fruits – but some of them are amazingly expensive and we tend to stick with the large variety of bananas, apples, mangoes and pears.
