1. They start begging for love like you are some kind of love miser.
All day long you give ‘em smooches and snuggles and they wipe off the kisses and push you away, but as soon as it’s time to go to sleep they start begging for love.
2. They act like they are FREEZING!
OMG, it’s so cold. You better get them a good snuggly blanket.
3. They blame their misbehaving blanket.
The blanket won’t work right. Please fix it because it’s crazy!

4. They start suffering from premature hot flashes.
After all that complaining about being cold, they start acting like a menopausal woman who can’t take the heat.
5. They are SOOO thirsty.
At that point you are so irritated it takes everything in you not to force them to drink from the dirty manguera in your yard.
6. They need to tell you something VERY important.
Seriously, the declaration of love couldn’t wait? And of course you can’t be mad because AWWWW!
7. They have to go PEE!
Like, you are going to tell your kids they can’t pee!
8. They are ravenous.
At dinner all they had room for was dessert, but now they are so HUNGRY!
9. They are scared.
You have to go through their entire room and prove that there are no monsters hiding anywhere.
10. It’s all your fault.
How can you possibly ask them to go to sleep when they aren’t even tired?
At some point, when you’ve almost resigned yourself to the idea that your child will never fall asleep, they doze off, and you finally get some rest.

A great list, funny and oh so true. To be fair to children though, as an adult, I’m just as guilty of numbers two, {not sure what happened to number three}, four {though sadly not prematurely} and seven.
