Family Getaway at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento

Last weekend, my husband’s aunt treated our family to such a wonderful gift I CAN’T EVEN! She gave the four of us a night’s stay at the Kimpton Sawyer Hotel in Sacramento. How nice is that?! VERY! 

To begin with, my eldest daughter loves nothing more than staying in hotels. She just adores hotels. The rest of us like staying in hotels too, just not as much as she does. 

Now I’m not going to lie to you, Sacramento this time of year is as hot as Hades and not usually my first pick for a weekend getaway because I’m not the biggest fan of that kind of heat, but experiencing the heat poolside at a nice hotel is a totally non-Hades like experience. It’s more of a “how did I get so lucky” kind of experience.

Oh, and when you throw in pool-side cocktail service, the whole thing turns into an “I COULD GET USED TO THIS” kind of experience.

I could, I could totally get used to this.
