Ay mi gente, horrible horrible things are happening in this world. People are getting killed like it’s no big deal and I just can’t with all of the information coming at me. It’s so upsetting that it makes me want to stay home where I feel safe-ish and wrap myself up in one of these cozy crotched mermaid blankets being sold on Etsy. I know it won’t make all the violence in the world go away, but we have to find comfort where we can nowadays.

Oh, how I wish I had come across a video like this when I had newborns. Dr. Hamilton is a pediatrician who has a technique he calls “The Hold.” Basically it’s a particular way to hold a newborn so they feel soothed and stop crying. It’s so simple and WHY didn’t anyone teach me this when I was a new mom?

I wrote a piece at LatinaMom.me entitled “Ricky Martin Is Team Hillary” and it’s basically about how the Puerto Rican celeb tweeted his endorsement of Hillary Clinton right before an event that Clinton was having in Florida. In my eyes it’s not a controversial piece, it’s pretty innocuous just sharing what Martin has shared. Well, the piece was picked up by AOL and shared on their homepage and people are losing their minds in the comments section. So much homophobia and nonsense going on that my jaw got bruised hitting the floor. The posts has HUNDREDS of comments with people attacking each other left and right. I don’t get it, but thank you for the views.
