Fragmented Fridays

Put Pie, my eldest, turned 3 yesterday. Unknown Papi took the day off and we just hung out together all day. It was fantastic. It was particularly fun because this was the first year that she was excited about having a birthday. She woke up the day before her birthday thinking it was her birthday and when I told her she had to wait one more day, she was pretty deflated.

Birthday_pie

A friend of the family made her a pie. This pie is quite possibly the best pie I have ever had in my life. I may never want birthday cake again.

I didn’t mean that cake, you know I love you. There will always be a place for you in my life.

Sons of Anarchy is back! I friggin’ love that show. I’m also loving Game of Thrones. We finally seem to have gotten the girls into a regular bedtime routine, which allows us to have a tiny bit of grown up time. We’re so tired by the time we get them to sleep that watching some good shows is just about all we can handle. Simple pleasures.

And now your Friday Fortune Cookie (don’t forget to add “in bed” at the end, if you are so inclined):

If you continually give, you will continually have.

Pie looks delish…..I could trade cake for pie! Nice to have adult time and kids in bed. I love the last hour of the night were you watch your shows or have adult conversation without little ears listening. Have a wonderful weekend!

Alright, a fella Virgo. Put pie and I share the same birthday. I like ice cream only for my BD. Oh the fun you’ll have as she grows up. Hope you sung her Las Mananitas plus her Happy Birthday song.
(PS, I wish I could change my pic here, I’m tired of showing up like a ? mark.

But was it a Put pie???

Yeah, you’re right. That was a really really corny joke, and I apologize.

That pie does look yummy. I heard Game of Thrones was addicting. Have you read the books, my bff said they’re really good.

Yum. That’s how we celebrate birthdays – take the day off and hang out together, go for a walk, stop somewhere for lunch/dinner depending on the time of day – and generally feel quite happy at the end of it.  Happy Birthday, Put Pie!

Awww! Happy Birthday to her. 3 is the BEST age. They are so fun to watch.

I am in LOVE with Game of Thrones. I made hubby get HBO so I could watch it.  I was a huge fan of George R R Martin waaaay back and had read the first three books of the serieds more than 10years ago. To see them come alive on TV…amazing! I haven’t read the last two books, yet (it took him forever to write the next one).

Hope she had an awesome birthday. We’ve done cakes, cupcakes, pies and even birthday cookies. Just wait, you’re going to have so much fun planning her parties once she’s in school.
