Fragmented Fridays

I’m writing this on Thursday 10/20. I live in San Francisco and we’ve had 2 earthquakes today. One was a 4.0 and the second was a 3.9. I’d like to believe that it is just the earth relieving some pressure. Keep us in your thoughts. There have been so many natural disaster occurring lately, it’s hard not to get a little jumpy.

I’m looking forward to Halloween this year because it is the first year that Put Pie is actually aware of what’s going on and looking forward to it. She’s either going to be a chicken/rooster or a lady bug. We’ll see.

And now your Friday Fortune Cookie
(don’t forget to add “in bed” at the end, if you are so inclined):

Don’t double dip!

I’m not surprised you’re jumpy, every time the earth trembles, if only a little.  I’d be jumpy, too.

Yes, natural disasters around the world are definitely on the rise. It reminds us of the power of the earth and the universe and we have not control over that. Sorta puts us into perspective, doesn’t it?

Aww, a ladybug. I hope she picks that. She is so cute.

I’m not so sure about “on the rise”.  IMHO – it is the extensive media coverage, internet, 7/24 news channels.  Today we know about things happening very quickly that  not a 100 years ago people never knew ever happened.  I read that when Pearl Harbor was bombed many Americans didn’t even know where Hawaii was located.  Don’t you think it might just be we are more connected and aware today?

Love when kids are little and dress in cute costumes…..it’s when they get to teen age and the hooker wear comes out or the teens that show up in lame costumes or none at all and don’t even say trick or treat….for them I have a trick ready!!
Living in SF I’d be on edge too! Have a wonderful weekend!

I  don’t appreciate “terremotos.” They terrify me. Of course, I don’t like hurricanes, floods, tsunamis, or even ant invasions, either.

Hugs, Unknown Mami. Always in my prayers.

We’ve all been a bit under the weather – that cold and cough kinda overstayed this time.

I hope you are much better, more relaxed and I wish you peace. 🙂
