Fragmented Fridays

Friday comes to tell me this: YOU ARE TIRED! The first part of the previous sentence is a riff on an e.e. cummings poem, your birthday comes to tell me this…The point being if it is Friday, you better believe I am tired. Wednesday through Friday, Unknown Papi leaves the house at 6am and doesn’t come home until 9am. I am left to fend for myself with 2 adorable, but attention-demanding girls. By the time Friday comes around, I feel like doing nothing. NADA! Not the girls, they never feel like doing nothing.

Wonderful friend to the rescue! Our delightful friend and her delightful son gifted my girls with a water table.

Children playing with water table.

Why oh why didn’t anyone tell me that having a water table would mean that I can sit down and just watch while the girls play on their own? Usually my participation is demanded, but not when a water table is involved! It was like angels sang, I got to sit my tired butt down and rest. So if you are wondering what to get a tired mami’s kids as a gift, think WATER TABLE. If you are a parent and wondering if you should get a water table: DO IT!

The auto-correct on my phone can drive me crazy at times. Every once in awhile it is good for a laugh like when my husband sends me a text and it replaces the word “quikie” with the work “quirky”.

And now your Friday Fortune Cookie
(don’t forget to add “in bed” at the end, if you are so inclined):

Do not hide your talents.

It’s funny how a group of “women” still call themselves girls too. None of us get used to growing up do we?

    The water table looks good.

Yes, we still have our water table.  It was given to us on Isabella’s 1st birthday and she’ll soon be 7.

I would rather have a quirky drink that a quickie one.  Have you taken your kids to any of the kids museums with big water tables?  I wish I would thought of water tables.  I just played in mud puddles on the side of the street.  –  Didn’t even know it then but those were quirky puddles.

Norrin would LOVE a water table!  But I don’t have an outdoor space 🙁
Thank goodness for playdough and the iPad – they are my life savers!

LOL – I love quirky drinks too 😉

Gotta love computer “things” that think they know what we want to say better than we do!

I’m a tee-totaler, but once when I was trying to text something, I know not what now, it said said I was tipsy instead of what I was trying to say.

Now I want a water table! Heck, not want but need!!!!

Auto-correct is always messing with me. Recently, I typed nerf battle referencing a playdate for my son and it “corrected” it to nerd battle.

    Have a great weekend!

I like how he plays along with your text instead of just correcting the word, makes it so much more fun.

THe water table looks like a GREAT idea!  My girls have played with them at other peoples houses & they keep them busy forever but I have yet to get one.  Hmmm why again have I not gotten one???

Bwahahaha!  I love this week’s fortune!

I felt that way about the kiddie pool… I’d go out with my book and put my feet in and the kids would play for hours!

Shows how old I am I guess, I never heard of a water table. But if a busy mom like you endorses it, I can get behind it too. So sweet of your friend to introduce you to the water table, and how great that your girls like playing with it.

Ah, water table.  I think I could go for that since it would keep my toddler out of the toilet 🙁

    I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toy’r’us kid… I agree.

How funny that both you and Mrs. 4444 had an auto correct mishap this week.  My email does that and it drives me nuts.
