The Bay Bridge, the other bridge in San Francisco, the not Golden Gate Bridge. Do you think the Bay Bridge ever gets jealous of the Golden Gate Bridge? Does it ever wish it was painted a slimming shade of “International Orange” like the much more famous and adored Golden Gate? Or is it content to be the bridge that it is, serving a much needed purpose, being proud to support so many on a daily basis?
It’s been a rough week for me filled with coughing, hacking, and sneezing. This cold has kicked my butt. I’ve just been focusing on doing what needs to be done and very little else.
It’s my bloggy birthday week. I’m 3 in blog years. I wonder if blog years are sort of like dog years?
I received the flight and hotel information for my upcoming trip to the BRITAX headquarters in Charlotte, NC. So thrilled to have been chosen as a Britax Hispanic Digital and Social Media Outreach Blogger. Can’t wait to meet the other bloggers that will be there. You can be sure I’ll take lots of pictures to share and I’m getting my paper bag all gussied up.

I think the bridge needs to hire you as a press PR person. I bet for a mere $1,000,000 a year, you could change that bridges image to match that of the upstart from the other side of the city.
Wasn’t the bay bridge damaged in an earthquake once? Hope you sinuses are clear for you flight. I have family around Charlotte NC. Will you have time to visit the mountains? Big Nascar place too.

The Bay bridge was indeed damaged in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake and it really impacting transportation. Maybe people appreciate it more now.

Poor bridge. I would think a splash of color would be appropriate. Maybe Blue. Then it could be the Blue Bay Bridge, and Linda Rhondstadt could sing a parody of Blue Bayou for opening ceremonies. I would like that.

Sometimes I wonder that about the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. They’re in walking distance from each other, and yet the Brooklyn bridge is so much more famous.
Sometimes I think the Manhattan bridge is thinking “yeah, you might be all famous and everything, but do you see any elevated subways giving tourists gorgeous views of the river and statue of liberty from the Brooklyn bridge? Oh, no, you’ve got to come to ME for that, BITCHES!”
