- Am I the only one that is feeling a little blue lately? Sometimes I think it’s in the air and I catch it.
- This week I was both pooped on and peed on.
- Sometimes I think the Universe is conspiring to make me happy.
- I love it when my daughter falls asleep in my arms. I try to imagine what kind of woman she will be. I try to soak in these moments because all too soon she will no longer fall asleep in my arms.
- Once when I was feeling crapastic and unappreciated I overheard a conversation in Taco Bell (it was in Spanish, but I will translate)
Woman (speaking to a clearly upset friend): He asked her, “If I offered you a hundred dollar bill, would you take it?” and she said, “Of course.” Then he asked her, “What if I crumpled up the hundred dollar bill, would you still want it?” She answered, “Yes.” Then he asked her, “What if I threw the crumpled hundred dollar bill on the ground and stepped on it, would you still take it?” She answered, “Yes! I need the money, I don’t care if it’s been stepped on.” Then he said, “Well, you are like that hundred dollar bill. Your worth is not diminished because you have been stepped on a few times.”
- I am like that hundred dollar bill! So are you.

EWWWW I do not like that about the $100 bill. Mostly because it’s true. I don’t like to admit that kind of stuff….When I feel “blue” I have to grab my Ipod and play something that is peppy…On
a personal level…just having a baby..Have you talked to the Dr about
post pardom depression? There are a lot of myths out there…I know
it’s extreemly personal…but every one is different with that. Have a great weekend!

What an awesome friend that woman had! And how awesome are YOU for passing it along? (hint: the answer rhymes with cherry)Sorry you caught my blues! (yeah, my ego is just that big…) I think they’re contagious, too. Or hormonal. Or atmospheric. And yet sometimes the universe conspires to make us happy. Awesome.

Dear Unknown Mami, Your value increases if you’ve been pooped and peed on. I’d say your worth is, at the very least, 2 hundred dollar bills. Sincerely, Another 2 Hundred Dollar Mama

I think the reason you are blue is because you were pooped and peed on. Just a guess.

I love the juxtaposition of the being peed and pooped on and then the
next thought that the universe is conspiring to make you happy. Great
juxtaposition. Cracks me up!

Visiting from Stacy (Random Cool Chick) – great post! I’ve been peed
and pooped on too many times to count. Wonderful outlook on the
Universe too! Also read a few of your other posts – they are
funny! I’m not near as ‘green’ as I should be – we recycle, that’s about
it. And I drive a gas-guzzling SUV – I got 4 kids with another on the
way – that’s my justification until they come up with a Prius that seats
8. 😉

I got peed on first thing Monday morning. At work. It wasn’t even pee that’s related to me. Good thing cotton dries quickly.

I’m sorry-It must be the late hour, but when I read that about the $100
metaphor, I thought you were going to say somebody didn’t want to eat a
taco that had fallen on the floor, LOL! I think those rocking the baby days are why I look forward to being a grandma (some day!) So precious, those moments.

Whoever that person was they should be something like a counsellor or lay-preacher. What a lovely story.Re
the mood you’re in, I sometimes wonder if there is such a thing as a
kind of zeitgeist going on because I get times when I’m feeling less
than pukka and then I start noticing others saying the same. It’s like
there is a collective empathy going on.
