I’m still fighting with my nemesis, Word Verification. I am so sick of her and antics!!! One minute she is being a total bitch to me and the next she’s acting like she’s my friend.
Many of you know that I’ve had issues with my eyes, for those of you that don’t the short story is: corneal ulcers, iritis, and I can no longer safely wear contacts. Well, WV knows this too because I’m pretty sure she subscribes to my blog privately. Anyway, one evening she kept giving me letters that were all smushed together and difficult to read. I , being the lady that I am, cursed her out under my breath. She came back with this:
Squint! Can you believe that? That’s just cruel considering the issues I’ve had with my eyes.
Did it end there? Nope. Then she gets all pseudo-friendly. Somehow she found out that I was moving to WordPress from Blogger. I don’t know who her source is, but someone told her. One of my biggest fears was losing subscribers, but I told myself to just do it. Well, at some point I must have mumbled “it’s not like anyone will even care” and then I went off to leave a comment and I got this:
Yeah right! She doesn’t care, she just likes to keep me under her thumb where she can watch me more closely. Well guess what WV, I moved! I’m on WordPress now and if you no longer get my feed I guess you’ll have to resubscribe.

I won the full line of lip care from softlips! Let me tell you why I am so excited about this. I hardly wear make-up, it’s not necessary when you wear a paper bag over your head most days. Another reason I don’t wear much make-up is that I have ridiculously sensitive skin. Well, the items you see above are free of: preservatives, phthalates, parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, and even gluten. They also have natural mineral sunscreen, which I am not allergic too. I’m stoked! Thank you, Independent Mami!!!
Last night I was exhausted! I could not wait to get into bed. I slept well for a few hours then I woke up at 4am and could not go back to sleep. The sun came up while I just lay there wishing I could sleep. Then at around 6am, I fell asleep only to be promptly woken up by my daughter.
And that’s all she wrote!
That is too funny!! I wish WV was my frenemy. It won't even speak English to me. I can't read some of those too well either. I have red green color blindness and the words trick me when they don't spell anything.
I will start trying to communicate better with WV. Who knew it could communicate? 😀
That WV was just being cruel wasn't she. I am not a friend of WV either. It usually takes me a couple of times to finally get it right. AGHHH!!

Man that lady has it in for you. If it makes you feel any better, she gave me “typos” the other day. I think she was trying to tell me something!
And YAY for such preservative and generally icky free products. I'm going to have to remember that one!

OK, I'm still catching up with the new wordpress you. (The new you is beautiful, btw. And thanks for the links because I'm thinking about same move.) I was still a follower once you switched, but my Google reader didn't have the new posts, so I reGoogle-ified myself. Now reader is back in swing of things. Funny, I've written about word verification gremlins and their CIA tactics before too, but no one seemed to care. Guess it was just me. Paranoia and all.

I have such a hard time with them too. I have dyslexia and sometimes I have to try 3 or 4 times before I get it right.

I've had a chance to try the lip products and they are great. Even the ones that came in shades I can not normally wear worked because they are sort of sheer.
I have the same feelings about Ms. WV!!! I wear glasses and I sometimes can't get the letters right with or without my glasses!
