Fragmented Fridays

  • I am so happy to be home. Being in San Diego with my family was great, but the getting there and the coming back really sucked.
  • Put Pie is sick. It’s the first time in her 11 months of life that she has been ill. It’s nothing huge just a cold, but it breaks my heart to hear her having difficulty breathing.
  • The whole time we were in San Diego Put Pie hardly pooped. On the drive home she pooped 4 times. Great timing.
  • My mother is pretty wacky and has a thick Mexican accent. I can do a pretty good imitation, but when my husband tries to do her accent he makes her sound like a Thai hooker. (No offense to Thai hookers, my mom just doesn’t sound like one.
  • I really need to be nicer to my mother. Why can’t I stop acting like an angry teenager around her? Honestly, isn’t it time to grow up. It’s all me too. If I want her to accept me for who I am then I need to let her be her. I get it, but I just don’t follow through. I’m working on it.
  • Last Sunday I did a soft link launch of Sundays in My City ( the hard link launch is this Sunday) and a few people linked up. I’m so excited about seeing the world with the help of my bloggy buddies. As Scrappy Girl put it, “together we can see the world”. If you want to travel with us, all you have to do is take photographs of your city/ suburb/town and then link up on Sundays.

I need to be nicer to my mom too… she’s awesome and I’m a pain in the butt to her more often than I should be.

I’m the same way with my mom, drives me nuts. Guess it’s just our orbits
that we are meant to spin or something. And 11 months with no sickness,
    girl what is your secret?

I think 11 months is fantastic! You must be doing a great job as mom.
Your Sundays in my city idea sounds great. I will try to remember to
stop by and see what’s going on.

I hope wee Put Pie gets better soon…I think our relationships with our
mums are always, always based partly in the past and it is difficult to
get past it. Oh, and ALL my accents sound like a Thai hooker….

I’m with you on the mother issue, I always find myself acting so awful
with her. That’s why I’m glad we live so far apart, we get along better
that way 🙂 LoL. And your poor little one! It’s no fun with sick
kiddos that’s for sure. 🙁 I hope everything clears up quickly for her
and she gets better in no time! I love your blog and am going to
become a follower btw! I love that I find such awesome blogs like yours!
Hope you don’t mind a new friendly “stalker” LoL. And I’d love to post
your button as well so I can send more fans your way as well 🙂 Thank
you for your awesome comment and for stopping by my blog 🙂 Hope you
    have a fabulous day/weekend!!
