Fragmented Fridays

Are you on Twitter? If the answer is yes and you don’t already follow me, why not click on this lovely link and follow me? I don’t tweet much, but when I do I might just blow your mind with beauties like this…

  • Don’t think about chocolate!… Are you thinking about chocolate?… Do you see how I can control your mind?

Don’t worry, I won’t always control your mind with my tweets or will I? Cue evil laughter…

Every time my daughter, Put Pie, masters a new skill I am unbelievably proud. The previous sentence would have been true a few weeks ago, but it is no longer accurate. You see my two and half year old daughter has become an expert tantrum thrower. I am not in the least bit proud or fond of this newfound skill of hers. I’m afraid to write the next bit because I might jinx it, but so far she has only thrown these tantrums at home. I feel terrible for our neighbors and am about to buy them all earplugs. Please let this stage pass quickly.

I gave birth to our youngest daughter, Luna Pie, six weeks ago. I started exercising again this week and I’m so excited. I’m not doing much just a few minutes a day on my stationary bike, but it is so nice to have a few minutes a day to focus entirely on my well being. I exercised regularly (pretty much every day) the last 4 months of my pregnancy and I’m telling you I can tell it made my recovery easier.

Did you notice? I finally decided on a bloggy name for our second daughter. It ended up being a toss up between Tiny Toes and Luna Pie, but we call her Luna Pie more often so it won and I’m sure her toes won’t always be as tiny as they are now.

And now your Friday Fortune Cookie (don’t forget to add “in bed” at the end, if you are so inclined):

Proper planning prevents piss poor performance.

Put pie is in good company. My lovely niece has mastered that great skill and her parents are “over” her cuteness. Since I don’t have to deal with it, I think she’s brilliant.

I LOVE the name Luna Pie! Like moon pie, with a Latina twist.
I’m pretty much always thinking of chocolate, no danger there, and I’m already following you on Twitter. (I’m not there much myself)
    Have a wonderful weekend!

Raised 3 children, and know all about temper tantrums. God bless you, but time flies and it will pass.

Good for you continuing your exercise. Keep on keeping on.

I suspect Put Pie’s tantrums are here way of expressing her mixed feelings about Luna Pie. I have a niece who has a two and a half year old and a new baby and is experiencing similar events.

Luna Pie – great pick – better than moon pie not that was even in the running. Did you know (I just found out this morning) that the lunar distance will be the closest in 18 years tomorrow. The moon’s orbit is at its perigee so it looks brighter and bigger. Suggest you put those details down in her baby book if you keep those. When she is 18 and the moon is close again it will make for an interesting topic.

hahahaha, i had to laugh about your 5 P’s, we use that in the military all the time. usually when we are lecturing lower enlisted for stupidity.

i like luna pie, it is adorable!! my daughter was also a huge fit thrower. it was just no fun. her fits and total stubborn attitude shut off at age 4. now we are hoping our mischievous younger boy will give up his crazy behavior at that age too…. but i am so nervous that he won’t. i hope you stay in the clear of public tantrums, they are so embarrassing.

Love the name for the little one! I exercised through my whole 3rd pregnancy, too and it made a world of difference! I was up moving around just a few hours after he was born and wasn’t in much pain at all. I started doing my WATP videos about 3 weeks after he was born. It’s amazing. 🙂
