Home Depot Review and $50 Gift Card Giveaway #FiestasHomeDepot

Much fun was had today by my family thanks to The Home Depot. We were given a $100 gift card to use for holiday decorations.

It would have been much easier to go shopping for holiday decorations by myself, but I really wanted to make it a family event because my 3 year old, Put Pie, is finally old enough to get excited about the holidays and Christmas is so much more fun when seen through her eyes.

We bought LED lights to replace our old ones because they last up to 10 times longer and use up to 80% less energy.

blankWe also got a new tree topper because I’ve always wanted a silver star on the top of my tree and Put Pie agreed it would look good.

blankAnd then we headed off for the most important part of our mission: the choosing of our Christmas tree.

blankWe got this little guy (eat your heart out Charlie Brown) so that we could put it on a table and keep it out of reach of Luna Pie, my 10 month old. Put Pie had so much fun picking out the tree (she was actually quite opinionated) and we had fun sharing the experience with her. Not to mention The Home Depot is one of the only stores that Unknown Papi likes hanging out at (he likes to shop, but at most places he won’t linger).

I have been shopping for Christmas trees at The Home Depot for years, but this was the first time I shopped for all of my holiday decorations there and was pleasantly surprised by the wide array of choices, from shatter-proof ornaments to Martha Stewart Living lights to trees. The best part is that I don’t just get to tell you about my experience, I also get to give one of you a $50 gift card to The Home Depot!

To enter follow the instructions in the widget. Buena Suerte (that means: Good Luck)!

This is part of a compensated campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and The Home Depot. The Home Depot works with bloggers such as myself to conduct product reviews. They do not tell bloggers what to say about their products or how to say it. The Home Depot fundamentally believes that people should be free to form their own opinions and share them in their own words. The Home Depot often provides product – free of charge – to bloggers for review as they did for this post. The Home Depot’s policies align with WOMMA Ethics Code, FTC guidelines and social media engagement recommendations. The Home Depot provided me with a gift card to shop for the holidays and post my experience. All opinions expressed in this article are my own and not influenced in any way by anyone.

When my kids were little we put the tree in the playpen!  Knowing my monsters they would have climbed up on the table to get the tree.

Home Depot has tools you can rent.  So if you are trying to finish up a project before Christmas, you can rent what you need to get the job done.
