Welcome to another edition of I Comment Therefore I Am, where I put together a post from comments I’ve left on other blogs. Below are some of my favorite posts from the previous week and what they inspired me to say.
Nancy from Away We Go shared a picture of Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge and mentioned that she traveled across it on date night with her husband…brace yourself for some lowbrow humor…
You rode The Johnson on date night. I think that might be too much information.
Monkey Man wrote a brief and clever post about buying resale.
I’ve been buying resale proudly my whole life. Now they call it “recessionista chic”. I call it, “nothing wrong with being poor.”
Cheeseboy linked to a SNL piece about the ridiculousness of Girl Scout cookies being seasonal. Go to his blog to check out the video. My response:
Truer words have never been spoken. Those girl scouts hold those cookies hostage! It’s not right. I am an American; I should be able to buy and eat those cookies year round. Freedom people, freedom!
Tracie at Stir-Fry Awesomeness shared some of her childhood dreams, which included growing up to be a teacher or “A pretty lady that walks the streets!” Nice…
You could have combined the hooker and teacher into a career. There is a little boy that we know and one day when asked how school was, he answered, “It was fine. Our teacher was sick, so we had a prostitute teacher.”
Sometimes I come across a post with beautiful photographs like the one at pieces of me showcasing tulips. I want to leave a nice comment because I appreciate the beauty being shared, but I run out of words for beautiful. When all else fails, I just get snarky…
I hate tulips! They think they are so much better than other flowers. If you ask me, they are stuck up!I’m kidding, of course. They are gorgeous. I only wish they lasted longer.
That’s it for this edition of I Comment Therefore I Am.
