Hola! I’ve got some fun news to share. I’m starting a new weekly series called Friday Five on IGTV. Today I filmed and uploaded the first installment and I, of course, want to invite you to watch it.
On June 20, Instagram announced the addition of IGTV. IGTV lets users share and watch long-form vertical video. It’s kind of like Instagram Stories, but longer and by longer they mean longer than 15 seconds. Most people will be able to upload videos that are up to 10 minutes long with a select few users being able to upload videos that are up to 1 hour long. You can access IGTV videos through the IGTV app or through your regular Instagram app.
Anygüeys, back to me and my Friday Five series. The idea is that on Fridays I will talk about five things. The topics will be whatever is on my mind for the week and the style is all cafécito casual.
On this week’s installment, I am talking about:
- IGTV
- The “zero-tolerance” crisis
- Working from home when the kids are home for the summer
- The 100 squat challenge
- Weekend plans

OK, the only thing that is left is for you to press PLAY!
If you want to start your own IGTV channel, it’s really easy. You can get the directions from Instagram and be set up in no time at all.

Once you upload your video to IGTV, you will be given the option to share it on Facebook as well. This week I’m sharing the video from Facebook because I could not find an embed code within the IGTV app or the Instagram app. I have a feeling this will not always be the case and that soon-ish you will be able to embed IGTV videos into blog posts, but until then I’ll use Facebook to embed.
How are you feeling about IGTV? Will you be watching or contributing content?
