The state of affairs in this country had got me incredibly overwhelmed. I have to limit my intake of news coverage, not because I don’t care, but because I care so much. I’m going to use this weekend to take a time-out and focus on my little family.
When Monday rolls around I will face the ugliness again, but for now I need to focus on joy, laughter, love and gratitude. One of the things I am most grateful for is that I have the privilege to even take a break from it all. I do not take that privilege for granted.
I hope that you are squeezing every bit of joy out of life that you can.
