Welcome to Friday Fragments*!
True Blood is back and I’m loving it. I actually got to write a recap of the first episode for MamásLatinas. I’ll be writing recaps there for the next couple of weeks and if they do well, I’ll get to write them the whole season.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job as a full-time staff writer at MamásLatinas? Well, I love it. I’m not gonna lie, it’s not easy to write 6 posts a day, but it’s a challenge I enjoy. I also enjoy having a steady source of income.
This coming week I get to go mingle and meet with a whole bunch of bloggers.
Disney is hosting a Social Media Moms On the Road Celebration in Berkeley and I’ll be there. I love meeting and mingling with other bloggers. It’s always a treat. Let me know if you’re going to be there so I can meet and mingle with you.

Disney tapping into the blogging scene makes sense. I wonder how they view blogging vs. FB and twitter. I take this as good for blogging.

6 posts a day is a challenge! I can’t even manage 6 in a week!
That pregnancy belt is too funny! I’m going to tell my husband about it and I know what he’ll say, “Glad that thing wasn’t around when you were pregnant with our kids!” According to him, he’s already suffered through being there in the delivery room and wonders, “What happened to the good ole days when the dads got to wait outside?” These comments get him lots of dirty looks from me!

Six posts per DAY?! Do you have a subject matter provided or do you just have to come up with something? I am impressed, I don’t think I could do it.
I get assigned the first story for the day and then I pitch the rest. I have a reader set up that aggregates headlines of stuff that is trending or that I’m interested in and I go from there. I find that stories about strange things happening to penises or teachers acting crazy do well. Hahaha…

6 posts a day is amazing. Amazing.
I love meeting other bloggers in person. I can be pretty socially awkward, but once I get over myself I’m always glad for the face to face interaction.
After doing 6 posts a day now, I feel like I could enter the blogging Olympics.
That is lots of posting but you’re right, a steady income is great! I’m never afraid to mingle in bed……..I have to with a husband and two dogs. :). Have a great weekend!

Your job sounds like a lot of fun, but a lot of work as well. It is nice to see someone earning a living while doing work they love. It gives the rest of us writers and artists hope. 😀
I liked True Blood when I watched it a few times. Then it got too dark for me, just like that. The truth is, too, it is filmed near a town in Louisiana that I know very well.
How wonderful to be able to make money doing something you love!
