Just Say No to Internet Explorer

I try to keep things positive around here, but every once in awhile I let myself rant. Today I’m ranting about Internet Explorer. That browser drives me crazy and likes to make my online life harder than it needs to be. I broke up with IE a long time ago and good riddance, I say. Still so many people still use it that I can not be completely free of it. I use it at work and I use it to check that this blog is working appropriately for those of you still on IE. I say “still” because my hope is that someday you will explore your browsing options and move on.

This is not my actual rant, my anti-IE-rant is at Aiming Low. Please stop by and give it a read. I am not a techie by any means, but I don’t think you need to be a techie to see the flaws in IE.

I know, it drives me nuts that I have to keep the blasted thing on my machine because once every two years there’s going to be something I actually need to open – like a have to thing – and I’m going to need to have IE to do it.

Does anyone use Nadscrape anymore? I mean Netscape?  I have IE that I use when Firefox won’t open certain pages.  I have no idea why Firefox won’t work on certain pages.  Especially commenting.  Drives me bonkers that I have to use IE.

I agree!  I love Chrome and really don’t know why I didn’t switch over long ago.

This is a Mac only household and we all use Safari, and very occasionally Firefox.

Browser-wise you can use Firefox, Safari, or Google Chrome.

I much prefer Google Chrome, but IE has to stay just in case I may need it. 🙁

That’s how I use IE. It’s on my computer, but only for times when I can’t avoid it or to check how my blog looks on it.
