Livin’ My Life Like It’s Golden

What’s got me livin’ my life like it’s golden? Well, this weekend it’s the weather in San Francisco. It’s golden! So fabulous that we went for an unintentional six-mile walk on Saturday.

C was the letter of the day

Huge props to my husband for stopping me as I walked past these doors with the letter C emblazoned on them. He saw me looking at them longingly and asked, “Are you really going to pass up this photo opp?”

Since he was willing to photograph me, which isn’t always the case, I happily took him up on the offer. Also, I rarely wear yellow and the doors sporting my initial are also yellow. What are the chances?

The whole day had me feeling golden.

So golden, I’m sure I glittered from some angles.

As someone who has mental health issues that include anxiety disorder, depression and PTSD, I have learned to embrace every bit of happiness that comes my way. I take none of it for granted.

This weekend, the sun, my family, my gorgeous city and my capable legs had me feeling happy. Coming home tired and spent from so much walking was also a form of happiness because I have somewhere safe and comfortable to rest.

I hope that you are livin’ your life like it’s golden, finding happiness wherever you can and being grateful.

And because Jill Scott knows what I’m talkin’ about, here you go:
