Excellent! My curb was not looking too appealing.
Pretty plain and boring, right?
So armed with a Lowe’s $100 gift card I headed to their Garden Center.
And just a couple of hours later these lovely clay planters and succulent plants were ready to adorn the entrance of our home.
So adding these plants was a little thing and took very little effort, but we love the difference. They just add a bit of happiness to your day as you are coming and going from our home.
And just to make sure the place was truly inviting we also got this welcome mat.

I love our front door. We live on an extremely busy street and that door is made out of such thick solid wood that it keeps so much of the noise out. You wouldn’t believe the difference when the door is open.
I have to get those succulent bowls, just gorgeous. BTW, your before pic of your stoop is so much nicer than my porch.
Well, thank you. We can’t put too much stuff out there because it is literally right on the street. Even putting those planters out there required a big discussion with the landlord.

You and me both. They are a bit on the heavy side so I’m hoping that is enough of a deterrent. We did have this cool potted tree on the actual sidewalk and attached to the bars on our windows with wire so no one would think we were trying to “get rid of it” and someone took it. That thing weighed at least 50 pounds. Very fit horticulture loving thief.

We are in the midst of building a small barn to house my sewing room on the first floor and storage on the 2nd floor, as we must now take my mother in our home due to her frailness at 86.
