Mobile Garden (Sundays In My City)

Garden on a bike

Bicycle with a garden in basketWe were going to dinner and I saw these bicycles with gardens in their basket. It’s the first time I’ve seen a mini-gardens on wheels and find them to be quite clever.
San Francisco, CA.

I showed you mine, now show me yours.

What a clever idea! They could plant something edible in those baskets, and give new meaning to the term ‘meals on wheels’ 🙂

“Gardens in the basket”– It is a beautiful expression.

At this moment, the linky doesn’t seem to be working, so I’ll come back later.

Here is my link to ‘Sunday in My City,’ just in case:

I love anything to do with bikes, and these are especially lovely ones with their built-in gardens. Thanks for sharing!

In my country of origin (Holland) everything goes on the bike when one’s doing groceries, so I’m familiar with this sight:) (and I didn’t realize until now, that it’s quite remarkable here:) ) Have a great week, Claudya!

Yes, but this is an actual garden that doesn’t get taken out after every trip. The basket has soil in it and the plants grow from inside the basket and live on the bike 24/7. So the basket can’t be used for anything else.
