Proof That There Is No Shame In Being A Sh*TTY Mom

I’m not just one kind of mom: I’m a good mom, I’m a great mom, I’m a so-so mom and sometimes I’m a sh*tty mom. Yes, darlings, I am the first to admit that I have my #shittymommoments or #mierdamamimoments if you want to be #bilingual about it.

The thing is that I know I love my kids and I know that I’m trying and I also know that I am NOT perfect nor do I have any desire to be because then my kids will think they have to be perfect and that’s just too much pressure.

Well, guess what? Turns out that being a sh*tty mom is so relatable to other moms that it can even get you on the “Today Show.” Say what?! That’s right, I was featured on the “Today Show” sharing just one of my many sh*tty mom moments along with other viewers doing the same all in honor of the release of the new book “Sh*tty Mom for all Seasons” by “Today Show” producers Mary Ann Zoellner and Alicia Ybarbo.

Sh*tty Mom for all Seasons.

This is a follow-up to their New York Times bestelling “Sh*tty Mom” book.

Sh*tty Mom

Clearly these women are experts on the sh*t. If you haven’t already, go purchase a copy of “Sh*tty Mom for all Seasons” and the original “Sh*tty Mom” because you know you want to laugh your pompis off and commiserate.

OK, enough about other sh*tty moms and back to how the sh*tty mom writing this post got featured on the “Today Show.” A call went out for moms to share their not so glorious mom moments on video for a chance to be featured on the show and I almost forgot to do it because I was busy screwing my kids up somehow, but then I remembered and shared literally my sh*ttiest mom moment and they included it. Watch the segment below, I am the first mom in the “mom cam” videos. Check it out!

In case you are wondering why I would share an inglorious motherhood moment it’s because I wanted to be on the freakin’ “Today Show” DUH there is no shame in screwing up your kids not being a perfect mother.

Do you have any #shttymommoments to share? Tell me in the comments.
